Frequently asked questions
How do I use a NeoThera red light therapy device?
- We recommend starting with 5–10 minutes per session, then gradually increasing to 15–20 minutes based on your comfort level. Place the device about 6–12 inches / 15–30 cm away from the target area. Use it on clean, dry skin and avoid looking directly into the LEDs during use.
What is the difference between 660nm red light and 850nm near-infrared light?
- 660nm red light is visible to the eye and is commonly used for surface-level skin care and daily wellness routines. 850nm near-infrared light is usually invisible or only slightly visible, which is normal. NeoThera devices combine both wavelengths to support face and body self-care at home.
Why do some LEDs look dim or not light up?
- This is normal for LEDs that emit 850nm near-infrared light. Near-infrared light is outside or near the edge of the visible light range, so some bulbs may appear very dim or invisible even when they are working properly.
Which body areas can I use it on?
- NeoThera red light therapy devices can be used on multiple areas, including the face, neck, shoulders, back, arms, legs, knees, and feet. For sensitive areas, start with a shorter session and keep a comfortable distance from the light.
Is NeoThera a medical device?
- NeoThera products are designed for general wellness and at-home self-care use only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you are pregnant, have a medical condition, take photosensitive medication, or have concerns about light exposure, please consult a healthcare professional before use.
